For a Hen Party with a difference, why not try Clay Shooting? The stags may be surprised to hear you've spent the day busting targets with a real shotgun! The friendly competition of clay shooting and banter from our instructors is perfect for bringing together groups where not everyone knows each other that well, and is sure to please all ages and abilities.

You'll be using real 12 gauge shotguns on the day and if you want to hit a clay or two you'll need steady hands, so we suggest heading off to the local pub afterwards to discuss your sharp-eyed skills or lack thereof. Why not make a Stag Weekend out of it, with a stay at one of the fantastic local pubs or hotels the Cotswolds has to offer?

We visited Ian Coley as a Hen Party of 15 on Saturday 29th March 2014. We were greeted immediately, there was no hanging around, the organisation was spot on. Our 3 teams of 5 all had the loveliest, most friendly shooting instructors. We did 3 different types of shooting which made it varied and a lot of fun! We have all come away from our visit desperately wanting to do clay pigeon shooting again. Frequently Asked Questions

What do I need to bring?

There is no need to bring anything with you. The following is included in ALL our packages:

  • Tuition and gun hire
  • Cartridges and clays
  • All safety equipment

How long does it take?

Approximate times are noted in the package descriptions. Timings will be affected by group size and levels of experience.

What do I need to wear?

We've got gravel walkways, so no need for wellies or anything, even if the weather is being British. Comfortable, casual clothing and reasonably sensible footwear is about all that's required. People are welcome to bring their own caps and glasses/sunglasses if they wish, though we supply caps and glasses for everyone.

What if it rains?

We have a number of covered stands so guests can enjoy the day whatever the weather.

What about recoil?

We provide special low recoil cartridges and small bore guns if required, and ensure the experience is fun for all.
