SPORTING AGENCY SEASON SUMMARY 2015/16
As the season draws to a close, we have a rare minute to reflect on some of the highlights:
Grouse
Despite an incredibly harsh Spring which adversely affected grouse stocks in some areas, we saw a steady start to the Grouse season, with good numbers to the butts. Memorable moors for us this season were Roxburghe and Bransdale, with both producing some great sport.
Partridge
September partridge soon started rolling, with Salperton Park on our home ground in the Cotswolds once again presenting spectacular birds throughout the season – probably the best year to date and with many teams eager to return. Early season partridge at Farndale and Pennyholme in north Yorkshire also provided a true challenge for guns.
Pheasants
Our ever popular back-to-back days at Llywn Madoc and Tregoyd provided perfect high pheasant shooting for our Roving Syndicate team; as did Ravenswick and Urra in Yorkshire - all will be popular destinations for next season. Full teams took advantage of the incredible drives at Cocking in West Sussex, which presented classic high birds with a number of extreme birds added to the exciting mix.
