ABOUT LA NAVA
La Nava is located in Castilla-La Mancha, a region in central Spain approximately 2 hours south-east of Madrid. Setting for the famous 17th-century novel Don Quixote, the region encompasses plains dotted with vineyards, castles and windmills; mountain ranges and barrancos - gorges or ravines.
Covering 25,000 hectares (over 60,000 acres) of varied terrain, the stunning estate of La Nava has the scope to organise a fantastic range of drives for every style of shooting - from traditional fast flying Spanish-style partridges to high birds flushed off hills. The partridge shooting here is characterised by the flight variety of the coveys; some high, some low, crossing or bursting - providing a sporting challenge for all guns.
As such, La Nava has built an enviable reputation as one of the premier places to shoot driven partridges in Spain. With a purpose-built luxury lodge and private runway, the estate is both exclusive and easily accessible.
Driven shooting at La Nava takes place between October and February when the weather in the region is relatively warm and sunny, contributing to a pleasant stay for guns as well as their guests.
Spain will always be somewhere special to shoot, not only because of the quality of shooting on offer - which is spectacular - but also the relaxed feel throughout the day, the extended daylight hours and the outstanding hospitality.
